: Confession time: I may be a shiksa, but I don't have celiac disease. A long time ago, I told a little lie so that some people in my family would take my food issues seriously and stop trying to push food on me that would make me sick. They didn't think gluten intolerance was a real thing, but if I attached the word "disease" to my condition, suddenly it became real. So, while the title of this blog may not be exactly accurate, it did keep someone from poisoning me with the best intentions. Ya gotta do what ya gotta do. List of things I can't consume: gluten, dairy (except aged cheese), melons, alcohol, anything spicy
