Here are some things that I like to have on hand to make my GF DF cooking life a little easier. A lot of these items have been chosen solely on the basis of regional availability, so if you can't find the exact brand, it probably doesn't matter that much. A lot of the items I use are available on Amazon, although most of them are only sold in bulk.

For Baking:
  • aluminum-free baking powder
  • baking soda
  • cornstarch
  • potato starch
  • tapioca flour
  • xanthan gum (Bob's Red Mill)
  • applesauce in individual cups
  • oat flour (Bob's Red Mill))
  • dried fruit (cranberries, raisins)
  • nuts (walnuts, almonds, pecans)
  • almond milk
  • buttery spread (Earth Balance) - they offer a soy-free option, too
  • coconut flakes
  • coconut milk
  • flaxseed meal (Bob's Red Mill)
  • egg replacer - Orgran No Egg Natural Egg Replacer
  • agave nectar
  • honey
  • peanut butter
  • oats (the regular oats, not the quick ones)
For Meals:
  • gluten-free pasta (my favorite is Tinkyada Pasta Joy)
  • brown rice
  • basmati rice
  • corn meal (polenta)
  • tamari sauce (San-J Organic Tamari)
  • Worcestershire Sauce (The Wizard's Organic Vegan Worcestershire)
  • Bragg All Natural Liquid Aminos
  • olive oil
  • sesame oil
  • grapeseed oil
  • rice noodles (A Taste of Thai)
